We live in the incredible town of Cody, WY. It’s a small town with big city ambitions and unique opportunities for its residents. I feel fortunate to have the continued opportunity to volunteer a fair chunk of my time serving on various boards and committees.

I take immense joy in helping local business owners and non-profit organizations improve in their respective spheres. Currently, I am about to enter my sixth year on the Cody Country Chamber of Commerce Board and am serving on our local airport board, as well.

This time of year the chamber organizes a Christmas stroll and parade downtown, encouraging a “shop local” mentality. This is a favorite time of year for the locals. There are shopping cart races, ice sculpting competitions and more on our little main street. Our chamber boasts one of the highest member counts for a town of our size.

Many of the great people of Cody assisted and mentored me as I worked in to the professional world. I see being able to volunteer locally as a way to say thank you to these folks and to help mentor the next generation of “movers-and-shakers” in our community.
